Below are some rules in effect for the Jackson Invitational. While many of these are common rules, there are a couple of special ones. Please make sure to read them all carefully.
- Two decks will be used at each table.
- Once the hand you have dealt is completed, you should shuffle the cards, then hand them to the person 2 seats to the left for them to deal.
- The deal will start with seat # 1.
- A player must be at his or her seat by the time all players have been dealt 'complete initial hands' in order to have a live hand.
- Keep all chips in view at all times. Players must keep their higher denomination chips visible at all times.
- All cards and all chips should stay above the table at all times.
- Unless you have business in the community area of the table, do not touch or move items during a hand.
- Once you have folded, do not say what you had to anyone or react to any community cards until the hand is over.
- Hands can be called by the table.
- When folding, push cards to dealer, do not hold onto cards.
- Place bets in front of you, do not just throw chips into bet, once pot is even, all chips should be pushed into pot.
- No Rabbit hunting. (Showing community cards after the hand is over.)
- Raises may be made in the following manners:
- Placing the full amount in the pot in one motion.
- Verbally declaring the bet.
- Saying“raise” before placing chips into the pot, then completing a raise in one additional motion.
- You must raise at least the amount of the previous raise, and there is no cap on betting. (Except in the case of going all-in.)
- At the end of last round of betting, the player who made the most recent aggressive action must show first.
- You must show both cards at showdown in order to win the pot.
- Excess chips left over in a split pot will go to the player to the left of the dealer.
- All cards will be turned face up once a player is all-in and all betting action is complete.
- If a player is knocked out at your table, announce it so everybody can hear.
- If a player is knocked out and would be the dealer the next hand, there will be a dead dealer.
- We will combine to three tables when 24 people are left, two tables when 16 people left, and the final table will be 9.
- Any disagreements will be settled by the Tournament Director.
