Sunday Poker League - Columbus Ohio

2009 Spring Championship

In the second longest SPL championship in history, Rydell Carter was able to outlast 13 other competitors and capture the Season 6 Championship!

The tournament lasted an astounding 7 hours and 13 minutes.

On the final hand, with the blinds at 12,000/24,000, Tim Butt limped in from the button with KK, Rydell made it 100,000 to go with A6, and Tim moved all in for around 70,000, and Rydell made the call. The flop came 10 8 J, the turn paired the board with another 8, Rydell was left with 3 outs to win the tournament, and the river fell the Ace of diamonds, and with that Rydell Carter was the Season 6 SPL Champion.

The official order of completion (with payouts) was:

1 - Rydell Carter - $600
2 - Tim Butt - $280
3 - Brad Jackson - $100

4 - Mike Jackson
5 - Phil Hadley
6 - Rob Lindeman
7 - Matt Arrasmith
8 - Nancy Crilley
9 - Chris Pennington
10 - Alex Drumm
11 - Gary Crilley
12 - Dar Faroughi
13 - Ashwin Sivanesan
14 - Heath Tigar

Total Time - 7:13

We look forward to having everyone back for the SPL's 7th season, which is still to be announced.

There will also be another Jackson Invitational in late July or August.
